Through holes

Just bought a cal 20 and not knowing much about them looked at it seemed in good shape. Been sailing it for a couple of months and it has to say the least been a delight.  Decided to check under the  floor boards to clean out any water that might be getting in. Clean out about a 10 sponges full. Thought that was pretty good after about ten hours of sloshing around. But noticed a plug about two inches in diameter about three foot from the bow. Seem dry and was scewed tightly. Is this normal, a repair, or something I need to be concerned with? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Through holes

Hi Rich,

If the plug is not leaking then I would not worry too much.  It sounds like it is where the head thru hull used to be....

Keep on sailing.....
