Cal 20 Discussion Forums

Hi to all you Cal 20 sailors! My name is Gordo and I sail up in Canada on Lake of the Woods. Lots of open water with many a channel to navigate, not to mention the many reefs one has hit or is going to hit! I now run a older 6 horse Johnson outboard in my well and am planning to switch to a four stroke. I think the 4 horse, 4 stroke Yamaha will do the job!  If you have any suggestions please let me know. Your northern neighbour!

I've got a 4 HP on Callinectes, and it's all the oomph she needs.  It's a two-stroke, but will replace with a four once it needs replacing - if that happens. The old Evinrude still performs well...
