Two questions

Question 1:  The fillet around my keel is coming off.  I needed to grind it out anyway to check my keel bolts but what do you use for the fillet?  Bondo?

Question 2:  When using a 150 genoa should you first run the sheet to a fairlead and then around a turning block prior to going to the winch?  Is it okay for the fairlead and turning block to be on the same track?  Thanks

Jim

Re: Two questions

Pretty sure the genny sheet should be led to a turning block on a track on the coaming, then directly to the winch. The working jib sheets go to a fairlead on a track up on deck, then to the winch.

Re: Two questions

That's usually how I run them but there is an awful lot of force when the genny it up.  I had just read that it is better to go to the track first, then back to a second turning block and then to the winch to reduce the force of the track and the block.
