Fleet 5 actually did just that a couple of years ago, but we haven't had the interest in last couple of years. We tied the race to the Isthmus Festival race from King Harbor to the Isthsmus in September. It really wouldn't take more than some interest and a little coordination to do it again. The RC is already set up.
It was a great weekend of fun and racing, but not intensely competitive given that our boats were loaded with beer, guitars, and gear. With a little coordination we could offload all that weight onto a support boat and have a proper race.
