Keel Bolt Torque

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum.  I've been sailing and fixing up my Cal20 "Apparition" for the past 2 years.  Last week I replaced the keel bolts (which were in frightening shape).  I'm curious if anyone knows the specific torque I need to tighten to?

Thanks, Greg & Apparition

Re: Keel Bolt Torque

Hi Greg,

I am not sure of the exact torque, all I know is they want to be as tight as you can get them with good caulking!

Try sending Jib Kelly an email jibkelly@aol.com he sould be able to guide you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

Chuck

Re: Keel Bolt Torque

Thanks Chuck,

I sent him an email, I'll let everyone know what he says.  In the meantime, if anyone's got the answer, please post as I'm headed to the boatyard tonight.
