hello

Hello, Im in south Florida  Hull# 424 1968, any one with a Cal 20 near by Id like to get together.

In another thread it was stated that a short shaft is better if using the well, I have a new long shaft 4 cycle in the box 6 hp, will I have problems using it in the wel? Thanks.

Motor Well

Hello, I always thought that the long shaft was better to use in the motor well.  The reason is that if you are motor sailing and you are heeling at all the shorter shaft will cavitate too much.

It has been about 20+ years since I used a motor but this is what i remember, it all depends on if you are motoring in smooth or rought seas.....

Good Luck,

#26
