Has anyone ever installed a mainsail feeder on their Cal 20? I would like to be able to raise the mainsail from the cockpit when singlehanded. I am considering this product and wondering if anyone as any experience with these types of devices on a Cal 20. Another solution is to install slugs on the boltrope, There are different ways to do it or your sail maker can . I did it myself. I singlehand on SF Bay and race with family and crew--- it works great!
That is something I've been wanting to do. How did you do it yourself?
Thanks Mike…I like the slug solution as I have doubts about the effectiveness of the feeder and no one seems to have ever tried it. What size and type of slugs did you use and how far apart did you space them? Thanks
